Music on mobiles is now the norm

Listening to music on phones has increased dramatically in Europe and the US, according to a survey by M: Metrics which found that 10.7% of mobile subscribers reported listening to music on their mobile device. This ranged from 5.7% in the US to 20% in Spain. Sideloading accounts for 83% of mobile music usage across all the countries surveyed. Among other methods, sharing music outpaces full-track mobile downloading in many of these markets.
