Young Europeans make the switch
01/12/2007
Europeans in the 16-24 year-old bracket now use the internet more frequently than they watch TV according to the European Interactive Advertising Association's Mediascope survey released last month. More than 80% of people surveyed spent between five and seven days a week online while only 77% watched TV as frequently. Data from 7,000 people in 10 European countries showed that Italians were the heaviest internet users spending an average of 13.6 hours a week followed by the Swedes and the French. The Brits were seventh at 12 hours a week.
