Google explores UK mobile markets

Google plans to move into the UK wireless market, according to a Guardian report,  following recent moves by Ofcom to take back some of the phone spectrum that Vodafone and O2 have been using, The company said earlier in the year that it was bidding for wireless spectrum in the US, representing a first step toward running its own network. Industry sources also say that the GPhone, Google’s own cutting-edge handset and a mobile payments service called GPay are both in incubation. In an earlier statement, Google said: “Our users and partners are telling us that they want Google search and Google applications on mobile…”
