On the streets of Jakarta, the wired-up youngsters sporting MP3 players aren’t getting down to 50 Cent, Kanye West or even Indonesian pop icon, Reza. Instead they are hooked up to God, listening to verses from the Muslim holy scriptures in a new MP3 device dubbed Digital Koran, according to a Reuters report. The player comes with the entire text of the holy book in Arabic with an Indonesian translation as well. Made by South Koreans, the players are also available in the Middle East, the UK and the US.
