How popular is the internet with affluent households?

In a global study of internet users, based on household income by Nielsen//NetRatings, a quarter of Britons online are from households with a £50K+ annual income. Australia has the largest concentration of high-income internet users with 32% earning A$100,000 and above. Spain has the lowest with only 6% earning in the top bracket of €72,000 or more.
