Time may be a better measure

Nielsen//NetRatings has added the time factor to its internet audience measurement service aiming to provide a more accurate picture of user engagement on Web 2.0 sites. The use of technologies such as AJAX and streaming (audio/video and other content like sports scoreboards and live stock quotes) is now widespread. Based on total time spent, the most engaging sites were eBay followed by Google and MSN/Windows Live. Based on time per visitor, RuneScape ranked highest, followed by Electronic Arts Online (gaming sites) and social networking sites (Bebo and Facebook). Contrastingly, Google was ahead of eBay for both page views and visits.
