While turning YouTube global, Google is actually making it really local.  The video sharing site has announced local versions launching in Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK. In an attempt to encourage content unique to each country, each site will be in the local language and will contain country-specific video rankings and comments. YouTube also announced a host of global content partners and stressed its credentials as a platform for broadcasters and advertisers, as well as amateur users.
