Google salaries reach the dizzy heights of $1

They may have created the most successful search engine in the world, but Google’s founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, earn less than the minimum wage. The duo, who built up Google from their Californian college room in the late 1990s, have paid themselves salaries of just $1 for the last three years. But with Google shares worth more than $470 - five times the amount they floated at two years ago - Page and Brin aren’t doing too badly. They still fall within America’s top 30 rich list.
