Inspired by the idea of carbon-offsetting, satirical site www.cheatneutral.com allows unfaithful lovers to ‘offset’ their transgressions, by paying £2.50 to someone who is ‘monogamous and single’. This, says the site, ‘neutralises the pain and unhappy emotion and leaves you with a clear conscience.’ And, with a nod to the trend for corporate carbon-neutrality, the site also notes that you can get a business discount if you ‘have to cheat because of work’……
