Presidential candidates have "friends" too
01/04/2007
Could the 2008 American presidential candidates teach David Cameron and Gordon Brown a trick or two? To help close the gap between politicians and the MySpace Generation, presidential hopefuls have set up profiles on Facebook and Friendster. MySpace has even gone as far as creating an information hub (impact.myspace.com). Last checked, Barack Obama had 84,799 “friends” at MySpace, John Edwards 16,329 and Hillary Clinton 6,088.
…. meanwhile, local Labour chairman Hazel Blears has also jumped on the social network bandwagon in her YouTube post – seen leaning against her kitchen sink, cuppa in hand; she announced her campaign to take over from John Prescott. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXqgItzrngc.
