Web advertising jumps to £2 billion

Online ad revenues have increased by a phenomenal 41.2% during 2006 - overtaking newspaper advertising expenditure. A report released by the Internet Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers said online advertising had a market share of 12.4% in the second half of 2006. National newspaper ads increased by 0.2% and TV advertising fell by 4.7%.
