Scientists in Canada have worked out a way for a mobile phone to be charged by human muscle power which in turn generates electricity as a person walks. The concept is similar to the way hybrid cars are powered. It works by attaching a device known as an energy harvester to a part of your body such as the knee, generating 5 watts of power from standard walking.
