01/07/2008
Since its launch BBC’s iPlayer has had 75 million requests to download shows. Programs such as The Apprentice have increased in popularity and it has become the top BBC programme sending traffic to iPlayer. As the chart below illustrates, it outperformed Doctor Who as well as other consistent sources of traffic such as Eastenders and Cbeebies.
Nearly 9 million viewers tuned in to watch Lee Mqueen become the fourth employee to come under Alan Sugar’s wing, as just over 2.5 million watched the show online.
