Media village at the London Olympics

Media is set to be at the forefront of the London hosted Olympic games in 2012. China having set the bar with the amount of media available at this year's games, will show how much investment in technology is needed in the next four years.

Online auction sites and trading goods over the internet have been, in the main, just that. Now there is Sweemo,  a new site that brings the opportunity to trade experiences, or “sweet–moments”.

Reported in the metro this month it seems as though Brits can’t cut  down on texting. In the first quarter of this year the Mobile Data Association (MDA) saw a 25% increase in the number of texts sent, compared to the last three months of 2007.

Is a recession such a bad thing for business?

Reading the news over the last few months, you’d be forgiven for thinking the world had gone to hell in a handcart. Things are no doubt tough; inflation, at 3.8%, is well above the government’s 2% target, house prices are dropping fast and the cost of many raw materials are at all time highs. The knock on effect on consumer spending is obvious - retail sales in the UK slumped in June by the biggest margin in more than 20 years.
