Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.  Can’t imagine one without the other? Imagine a day without your computer?

Two Montreal residents asked YouTube viewers to do just that for World Shutdown Day (www.shutdownday.org), to find out how many users would participate. Close to 50,000 participants signed up. Asked to say what they did without their computers: 13% of participants said they spent time with friends, 10% read, 4% slept, 5% watched TV and played games, while 3% chose sex and drinking.
