Not enough room on your iPod? A new development in storage technology means that you could soon be able to store a hundred times more information. The system, known as ‘racetrack memory’, is in development by IBM and could launch within seven years. It would allow MP3 players to store around half a million songs, compared to the 40,000 odd they can store now. Whether you’d ever get to listen to all those tracks is another matter....
