In this edition of the Search Newsletter, we take a look at what 2007 was (and wasn't) in the world of Search and what we expect to see in 2008.
In the online world, 2007 was touted as many things. This was going to be the year of everything Web 2.0. User-generated content was to blossom into a magnificent flower and mobile was to become the new black with the announced release of the all singing, all dancing iPhone.
Whilst you could argue that to a point this did happen (although not the mobile bit), two unforeseen trends have changed the future of the internet as we know it - acquisitions and the rise of social networks.
