Safaris and heists

Anyone own an iPhone yet? Owen Jones thinks it might be the shot in the arm that mobile search needs. While mobile search has been touted as the "next big thing" for a couple of years now, it hasn't really taken off due to the poor browsing capability of the handsets and slow connection speeds. But as phones get cheaper and connection speeds increase all that we need is a better browsing interface. And so we have iPhones "Safari" interface which should work well with the benefit of a large screen. The newer Nokia's also have similarly large screens. So Mobile Search may finally come through, if not this year, then probably next year. And how much does it cost? About £350-£400. Or about US$600 to US$700 Gen Citro, on i-level's search team, found a story about some thieves in Colorado, USA who managed to steal enough money to buy about 17 iPhones. Of course, they had problems on their first attempt at breaking into the safe, so they had to consult Google for help. They did a search for the phrases: "how to open a safe" and "how to crack a safe" on a computer in the next room, after spending over an hour trying to break into the main room. Amazingly, they have yet to be caught. Full story at - http://www.gazette.com/articles/safes_24620___article.html/ackerman_google.html
